Fair Housing Contest

Each year, the City of West Allis hosts a Fair Housing Contest open to all students in West Allis and West Milwaukee. Did you know that it is illegal to discriminate in the sale or rental of housing based on race, color, religion, age, familial status, disability, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression of martial status? Help the City promote fair housing to all by participating in the contest.

Past Contest Winners

In 2023, the winner of the City's Fair Housing Poster Contest got something extra: their very own utility box! As part of the City's Utility Box Art program, the winning Fair Housing Poster Contest design was wrapped around a utility box at the corner of 60th Street and Grant Street to promote the program's message while beautifying the community.
