Pre-Trials

If a "Not Guilty" plea was entered, you or your attorney will have a phone conference with the prosecuting assistant city attorney regarding the alleged violation(s). The Judge stays neutral and independent. The pretrial conference is not a trial. It is up to you or your attorney to decide what facts you want to share with the city attorney concerning your case in the hopes of reaching a settlement.

If you reach an agreement, the city attorney will submit proposal in writing to the Judge. Any matters not resolved during that pretrial, subject to the approval of the judge, will be scheduled for a trial at a later date. The Judge does not have to accept the agreement.
